Build Process
With Roy Homes building your new home it really is a lot easier that you may think.
Initial Concept You may already have several ideas on what you want from your new house, whether it is to suit your lifestyle, to entertain, or to be a family home. All of these are very personal decisions and are what will make your house unique. By approaching Roy Homes you have already made the decision that you only want the very best from the North’s leading builder.
First meeting Our first meeting will be to discuss your ideas, show you some examples and to go over the build process and the likely timescales involved. Once we know the style and size of your house we will send you our quotation in writing so that you know the entire cost of your project at a very early stage.
Design Once you are happy to proceed with Roy Homes our design team will visit your plot of land and provide you with any suggestions and recommendations that may be specific to your plot. A further meeting or meetings can then be arranged with our design team to ensure every aspect has been considered in the design and layout of your new home.
Planning Roy Homes then progress with the required planning consents, site surveys and building warrants, taking care of all aspects required to make the site ready to build your house. This includes liaising with electricity and water suppliers or identifying alternative solutions.
Building your home Once all consents are in place we can then build your house to our award winning standards and ensure that it is exactly as you requested, at the price we originally quoted and within a timescale we initially agreed with you. You will have a project manager allocated to you who will remain in contact with you throughout the project, arrange progress meetings with you and discuss any aspects of the build as they become relevant.
Completion Finally, when we have completed the build and obtained the final certificates from both the NHBC and the Local Authority Building Inspector we will hand over the finished property. This will include a full explanation of how all the equipment works and a thorough inspection of the house by you and your project manager. A list will be made of any snagging items and these will be addressed prior to you occupying the house.
